The 25th Annual All British Field Meet

The 25th Annual All British Field meet was held at Van Dusen Gardens on May 22, 2010. The weather cooperated and the largest number of entrants in the history of the event attended. 650 entries made for excited viewing for the thousands of spectators. There were so many entrants that some had to be turned away at the gate. If you were a late arrival and had not previously registered you were out of luck as 2 of our club members found out.

There were approximately 25 Healeys on display from the Bug Eyed Sprite to the Big Healey BJ8. There were some sterling examples of outstanding restorations.

Our own Michael DeWilde won first in his class.

At one point, late in the day, as people were staring to make their way down to the winners circle a few rain drops started falling. It was interesting to note the number of people that you would have thought would have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, run to their cars to get tops and tonneau covers in place. It was not necessary however as the rain did not materialize.

It was a good well attended meet with the opportunity to meet many new friends and renew old acquaintances. It was especially nice to see the large number of American Healey owners in attendance.

Our congratulations to all who attended for a show well done.
