1965 AUSTIN HEALEY RESTORATION PROJECT
A former club member, David Lodge, had owned a 1965 Austin Healey BJ8 since the mid 70's. The car was a driver that went many places including Mexico in 1978. In the approximate early 1980's he began a total restoration of the car. He systimatically took the car right apart, carefully cataloging all parts which were meticulously indexed and stored in numbered boxes. A catolog was compiled detailing the parts and the boxes they were stored in.

He began storing the chassis involving rust removal and the replacing of parts.  The body shell has been properly braced so integridy and alignment has not been lost. Unfortunately ill health intervened and last year he passed.

His widow would like to have the car move on to an Austin Healey lover who could properly finish the restoration that her husband had so carefully started.

Currently, the chassis is mounted on wooden sawhorses and the parts are stored in a very cramped garage. It is difficult to determine the exact condition of the body parts. What can be seen is the trunk lid and hood are in a primed condition and look very good. The doors appear to be relatively rust free as do the front and rear shrouds and fenders. There appears to be either a new or refurbished gas tank. A stainless steel exhaust system in excellent condition is present. The engine block appears to have been rebored or had the cyclinders cleaned up. There are new chrome wheels present.

Included in the sale is the Heritage certificate as well as all registration/ownership documents and the catalog listing all parts.

Offers for this project car will be considered
